The KEPiIZO Competence Centre Agile Office is a distinctive set of architectural and design solutions using affordable, durable and easy-to-handle materials.

The Agile concept is based, above all, on the flexibility of the environment being created. For this reason, the office planning structure was based on a projection of bionic and organic forms, associated with adaptability and dynamism. In addition, the geometry of the company logo is characterised by rounded forms, which are also reflected in the shaping of interior elements, furniture and fittings.

The colour palette incorporates the company’s corporate colours, complemented by bright accents. Smooth silhouettes and lines create a sense of movement and development while softening the overall perception of the space, whereas the contrast between volumes introduces an additional navigational layer.

The interior of the office, designed for 100 employees, is based on three core principles. The first is a diversity of functional scenarios: the space includes both permanent, fixed workstations — 75 desks in the open-space area — and informal zones for individual work or open discussion. The round chairs with high partitions are well suited to focused individual work, while high stools on slim legs, taking up almost no space, are always at hand for colleagues who happen to join the conversation. Ideas can be written down anywhere: the walls are finished with special marker paint.

Another type of multifunctional micro-zone is the soft seating niche. Such niches are located both in the open-space area and near the director’s office. They can be used for phone calls or in-person conversations.

The more formal meeting rooms, assigned to specific teams, function as project studios: spaces for meetings and brainstorming sessions equipped with media technology, including TV screens, projectors and conference call systems. The meeting room walls are either full-height glass partitions or structures made of acrylic tubes clad in felt for improved sound insulation. Two of the seven meeting rooms are equipped with transformable partitions, allowing them to be combined into a conference hall that can accommodate up to 25 people at a time.

The second principle is the “green office”: a contemporary, comfortable and safe environment for people, which uses its own resources efficiently and thereby contributes to preserving the planet for future generations.

The third principle is the office as a space for life — lively and diverse, encouraging both work and communication, while also providing opportunities for proper rest. For example, in addition to informal work settings and areas for focused individual work, there is a “quiet room”, where sound and lighting can be controlled directly from a smartphone, allowing users to adjust the atmosphere and mood. The workspace includes a coffee point, as well as a separately equipped area for dining and shared leisure. Finally, the office also includes a sports zone adjacent to changing areas and showers.

The interior was completed in a record two months.
